Great Lakes Water Policies Discussion

Liz Kirkwood, Executive Director of FLOW (For Love of Water), will speak about the impact of the recent election on Great Lakes water policies. Audience questions will be encouraged.

The event will be held at Stormcloud Brewing Company in Frankfort, there will be snacks and a cash bar.

Ms. Kirkwood has recently conducted briefings for Governor Snyder and members of the Michigan Legislature. FLOW has particular concern for the oil pipeline that runs under the Mackinac Bridge.

The event is sponsored by the Benzie League of Women Voters.

Those who are members and have been members for at least 30 days as well as Elected Precinct Delegates and all Dems who have run for public office will convene at the Campaign Office.  The purpose will be to elect members of the 2015-2016 Executive Committee.

The newly elected Executive Committee will meet at a later date to elect our 2015-2016 Benzie County Democratic Party Officers and delegates to the February 2015 Michigan Democratic Party State Convention (where MDP Officers and a new State Central Committee will be elected).

Victory Celebration for Stobie and the Michigan Democratic Party Ticket.

A celebration and a thank you to all of our volunteers and candidates for the hard work over the past year. Please join us at the Cold Creek Inn at 8:30 pm in downtown Beulah.  We will have free pizza for you and you can purchase your own beverage.

We will be tracking the election results at the Cold Creek all evening.
