Lunafest and Women's Spa Day will be November 14, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa. All profits go to the Breast Cancer Fund and Women's Resource Center of Traverse City. Benzie Democratic Party Blue Tigers help at Summer Fest
For the past three years, the Benzie Democrats Blue Tigers have volunteered to help make the Thompsonville Summer Fest a successful event for people that portion of our county. This year, about 400 people attended Summer Fest.

On Monday, June 21, 2010, we help set up tables, chairs, and tents for the event. Later, after the event ended at 9 p.m., the volunteers took down tents, cleaned floors and put tables and chairs back in the buildings. The Benzie Dems also provided $300 to help pay for food and door prizes at the event. The Benzie Democratic Committee wishes to thank the twelve members of the "Blue Tigers" who help to make the event. The Blue Tigers is a group of local Democrats who feel they should give back to their community through volunteering for local projects, such as food drives for local food banks, and a Santa party at Thompsonville.
