The Benzie County Democratic Committee at their Saturday, April 16 meeting voted to elect Ray Nichols as Democratic County Chair and Jill Kimball as the new Secretary. Both will serve until the close of this calendar year 2016.
Ray Nichols has been active in the local Democratic Party for fifteen years, serving previously as Chair, and Campaign Coordinator since 2004 for the party. Ray will also be coordinating the campaign for 2016.
Jill Kimball has be a activist in the local Democratic party for many years serving on the Democratic Committee as a member and was previous Chair of the Democratic Party. She will also serve as coordinator of Democratic Parties Constant Contact and Facebook to communicate on a regular basis to party membership.
Benzie County Democrats regularly meet the third Saturday of each month, 10 am at their headquarters, which is on U.S. 31 in Honor (9330 Honor Highway east of the Cherry Bowl Drive-In). Anyone interested is welcome.
