Benzie County Democratic Committee Be Part of the Solution! The Benzie County Democratic Party is part of the Michigan Democratic Party. Members of the state party organization have voting privileges at the state convention and within the local party organization. You can be a member of the local party without joining the state party. Note that when you join the state party, a portion of your dues is returned to our local organization. Click here to register on line with the state party. [This feature is under construction/coming soon] Local membership dues support local campaigns, the cost of running a party headquarters for the 2010 election, and our ongoing effort to develop our Benzie organization. Memberships are valid for the calendar year: Please fill out all the requested information, most of which is required by law for political donations. Campaign finance laws require us to use our best efforts to collect and report name, mailing address, and employer, if any. We also need your email address and your voting (home) address if it is different from your mailing address. Please Note: Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Your contribution is subject to the limitations and prohibitions of the Federal Election Campaign Act. Individual contributions may only be accepted from U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
