Strong women everywhere are running for office, not coffee! That’s why, at our Jan. meeting, we’ll run for the coffee while two dedicated women tell us why they are running for office. We’re meeting at our headquarters in Honor. After our 9:30 a.m. social, we’ll welcome Kathy Wiejaczka of Empire, who intends to run for state representative in our very own 101st District, against Kurt VanderWall. She’ll tell us why, and ask for our help.
After conducting some business, we’ll meet Dana Nessel, who’s running for state attorney general. Dana’s visited Benzie gatherings already, and proved to be a real spark plug. She does not equivocate, as her background and startling TV ad demonstrate!
At 1 p.m. on the 20thm there’s also the 2018 Women’s March ” #Power to the Polls” in Traverse City. You might want to car pool from the meeting to the rally.
