Vice chair Mike Ross has been working hard as canvassing coordinator because he’s well aware of the importance and effectiveness of face-to-face contact with voters.
Every Tuesday starting in June, the Benzie Dems team of walkers will meet at our new headquarters and leave to knock on doors in Benzie County. The primary targets for the walks are mostly our own Democratic Party members. We will also be knocking on doors on people thought to be independent voters. Walkers are promoting voter participation and Tom Stobie, our candidate for State Representative, District 101. They’ll provide other information as materials and volunteers become available.
In the 2012 election, more than 995,000 Democrats stayed home. We need to change our share of that number in Benzie County this year. WE NEED YOUR HELP.
During June we will be concentrating our efforts in Inland Township, District 6, and Almira East District 1. We were at Inland Township on Tuesdays between 3:30- 7 pm, May 27, and June 3.
We will be in Almira East District 1 Tuesdays between 3:30- 7 pm, June 10, 17, and 24. Find some date that works for you as either a driver or walker, and please join us.
