Class A Canvassing: Coming to an HQ Near YOU April 25!

If you are one of our heroes who canvassed during the 2024 election, we’re reaching out to say: We need to get back to work! And even if this is your first time hitting the streets to save democracy, we’ve got a great opportunity for you!

There’s nothing more important this election than talking to friendly people about what they see happening in our country, state, and community. So, we’re setting up a very special Saturday in a few weeks to learn the best way to do just that.

Please put 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, on your calendar!
We’re inviting you and all of our canvassing teams to join us at Headquarters for terrific, encouraging, positive get-together to learn some best ways to canvass. Jill Murphy, who some of you have worked with before, and who has a great track record for this kind of thing, will lead us through a highly effective workshop showing us how to
reach out to the folks on our walk lists, have a friendly discussion, and help our cause.

While Jill specializes in “deep canvassing”, you will appreciate her insights no matter what kind of work you did last time around—early-season information gathering, neighbor-to-neighbor information drops, electoral slate drop-and-knocks, or actual “deep canvassing”. Jill will help us do our work—and have lots of other more informal conversations—with confidence and smarts.

We also want you to help us plan for success. Who do we talk
to? What is our message? What is the best way to get it done? What parts are you willing to work on? We’ll figure that out, together, over pizza and salad, and you’ll leave knowing how you can best help us win in Benzie.

We’ll have more about this soon, but we wanted to get this date to you ASAP. So please mark your calendar for Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. and
plan for lunch on us, followed by a quick ‘who does what’ session so we know what’s next as we leave early that afternoon.

Thanks for all you’ve done and continue to do to help build one of Michigan’s great rural county parties—the Benzie Dems.
