Home of the Brave is a grassroots audio series broadcast on Elberta’s WUWU Radio that works to amplify the voices of everyday Americans who are standing up for democracy in Benzie County. Produced by Leslie Hamp, these are stories of courage, concern, and action told by veterans, teachers, neighbors and new activists who are showing up, speaking out, and shaping a brighter future. In a time of division and uncertainty, Home of the Brave offers something powerful: real conversations with real people who care deeply about their communities and the direction of our country. Their voices remind us that democracy is not a given — it’s something we build together.
