The Visibility Brigade movement began in Paramus, NJ, and has now grown to close to 500 brigades around the country, with nineteen in Michigan alone. You’ve probably seen photos of rallies on bridges and overpasses, where participants display oversized letters spelling out messages of resistance to the out-of-control actions of the current administration.

The lack of highway overpasses has not stopped Benzie County from organizing its own ground-based visibility brigade, led by Michael Hertz. With a full alphabet made up of 20 x 30” letters, the Benzie Visibility Brigade has demonstrated at the last NO KINGS rally: at the concentration camp in Baldwin, MI; at the Sleeping Bear Dunes; and in front of Benzie Democratic Headquarters on US 31.
These demonstrations communicate solidarity with the increasing numbers of people who object to the criminal actions being committed by our country, in our names, with our tax dollars.
Future actions are planned on Sunday, August 16, in front of Benzie Democratic HQ from 4 to 5pm, and again the following Sunday, August 23, from 4 to 5. Feel free to bring your own signs, or help us assemble and hold our brigade signs. (No candidate endorsements are allowed.)
