If you plan to vote via absentee/mail-in ballot, you can track your ballot and application to verify that it has been received by your township clerk and has been processed.
Go to mi.gov/vote http://mi.gov/vote and click on “Your voter information.”
You will see this information:
- The date your clerk received your application for an absentee ballot.
- The date your clerk mailed your absentee ballot to you.
- The date your clerk received your completed absentee ballot.
If there is no date under a specific field, it means that step is not yet complete. You can follow up with your city or township clerk or call 866-OUR-VOTE if you have any questions. And as always – if you’re having any issues with your application or your ballot, or you requested a ballot more than a few weeks ago (or are on the Permanent Mail Ballot List) and have not yet received it, please call 866-OUR-VOTE.
For most voters, your absentee ballot must be received by your city or township clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day (August 6) to count. If you’re serving in the military or living overseas, your ballot must be postmarked by Election Day (August 6) and received by August 12 to count.
