Dr. Mitch Distin, an accomplished scientist, is running for the Michigan House 104th District–which covers all of Benzie County that’s not in Betsy Coffia’s 103rd District. He aims to defeat John Roth, who’s misrepresented Benzie for years. His points and policies are powerful and thought-provoking–a passionate take on what we must do to get our communities and our state on the road to recovery and widespread prosperity.
Do hear him out this Saturday morning. He joins us in person at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and conversation. He’ll stick around for our 10 a.m. Party and community announcements. Then he’ll tell us about his campaign, which is already picking up speed.
Come in person and enjoy our coffee and bountiful breakfast snacks, catch up with some of our returning snowbirds, and check out Mitch’s intriguing, compelling point of view about what’s gone wrong with our politics and, together, how we fix it.
We’ll also have more on our May 19 Scholarship Party at Stormcloud’s Park View Tap Room and other community announcements, as well
If you find Mr. Distin an impressive guy, you can spend a bit more time with him late Saturday afternoon at St. Ambrose Cellars. Should be a real good time at that very cool place.

And this just in: The state party has appointed an Up North regional campaign co-ordinator, Paul Angel, to help us win in our part of the state. He’s coming to Headquarters Saturday to meet with us and share the state party’s campaign plans, after joining us for coffee and treats, right along with Mitch and our gang.
