No Kings Rally June 14, 1 to 3.

NO KINGS Rally Saturday June 14, 1 to 3 p.m.

It’s time to hit the streets again!  On June 14, at 1 p.m., we will push back against The Felon’s multi-million-dollar birthday party, scheduled for that same day and masquerading as a Flag Day salute.

We must speak out now. The harm falling on our government, our institutions, on their many services and protections, and on American democracy itself grows more immense every day.

The Felon and his henchmen and women are ruining thousands of lives with mass layoffs, illegal arrests, indiscriminate deportations, attacks on education and healthcare and science and civil rights, cruel and destructive budget cuts, and disregard for our allies around the world.

Listen: Every time we raise our voices, we make it harder for these dangerous people. We must not let up. We must grow our numbers, especially in places like Benzie, where elected officials like Jack “MIA” Bergman think they and their corrupt leader have got it made.

We have to show them that they don’t.

HERE’S THE GAME PLAN

  • Sign-making at Benzie Dems HQ 11 to 12:30. Supplies provided!
  • Assemble along both sides of US 31, in Benzonia, between Walker St. & Grace Road.
  • Park on side roads or public parking lots. Do not park on private property or private/commercial lots. No initial assembly—walk directly to where you’d like to stand along US 31.
  • Do not cross US 31 except at marked crosswalk by Benzonia Township office at Traverse Ave. Crossing anywhere else along the highway is very dangerous!
  • Our rally marshals, with green or orange vests, will direct rally goers; keep intersections clear for traffic turning onto side streets or parking lots; and remind people to stay on sidewalk, away from highway. Always obey our marshals.
  • Wear good shoes & hat. Bring water, sunblock & signs, American flags, and friends!
  • DO NOT ENGAGE with hecklers. Have 911 on your speed dial and don’t hesitate to use it if you see someone trying to interfere, cause trouble, or spark conflict. The sheriff is informed of our activities and will respond. He knows we are gathered in peace.

Come when you can, stay as long as you can, and do leave at 3 p.m…no straggling.

See you there – and long live our democracy!
