Blue Tigers are volunteer Democrats who perform community service. For the past seven years, they’ve been helping to set up and take down the annual Summer Fest in Thompsonville, next to the fire hall. The event is Monday, June 16, 6-8 pm. If you can help on this event contact Mike Ross at 231-651-0604 or Dave Green at 231-325-2484. Your help is needed at 2 pm to set up or at 8 pm after the event. We need two shifts of volunteers, one for setup, one to help dismantle.
Summer Fest provides free food for families who attend and take part in a walk through of the village hall to learn the type of services and opportunities available for families and seniors in Benzie County. There are games for kids and music in the pavilion for the seniors in the late afternoon.
