The Michigan Democratic Party nominating convention had over 7000 delegates. The convention filled Huntington Place Ballroom and half a dozen overflow rooms. Results were provided at approximately 9 PM.

- Secretary of State: Garlin Gilchrist. Gilchrist will run against Republican Anthony Forlini.
- Attorney General: Eli Savit. Savit will run against Republican Doug Lloyd.
- Michigan Supreme Court: Megan Cavanagh and Noah Hood both are incumbents.
- State Board of Education: Judith Pritchett and Tiffany Tilley both are incumbents.
- Michigan State University Board of Trustees: Brianna Scott and Kelly Tebay Zemke, Scott is an incumbent
- Wayne State University Board of Governors: Richard Mack and Shereef Akeel
- University of Michigan Board of Regents: Paul Brown and Amir Makled, Brown is an incumbent.

The Nominating convention does not choose candidates for Governor and Senator. Those will be chosen in the August primary. The candidates for Governor and for US Senate spoke at caucus meetings and to all assembled in the ballroom.
